Who We Are

This website, https://uniquecustompins.com/ (the “Site”), is operated by Unique Custom Pins (“we,” “us,” or “our”). We design and manufacture custom lapel pins, enamel pins, challenge coins, medals, belt buckles and other custom metal products for customers around the world.

This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect when you browse our Site, request a quote, submit artwork, place an order or contact us, how we use and protect it, and the choices you have. By using the Site or submitting a request to us, you acknowledge this Policy.

Information We Collect

a) Information you give us

  • Contact details: name, company or organization name, email address, phone number or messaging ID (for example WhatsApp), when you use our contact form, quote form or email us.
  • Project details: product type, size, materials, plating, quantity, colors (including Pantone codes), deadlines and any notes or feedback you give us on proofs and samples.
  • Artwork and design files: sketches, logos, images, vector files and reference photos you upload or email to us. Please do not include personal information about other people in your artwork unless you have the right to share it.
  • Order and shipping details: delivery name, shipping address, billing address and phone number (carriers and customs authorities often require a phone number).
  • Payment details: we accept PayPal and bank transfer. We receive confirmation of payment, the payer name, and transaction reference. We do not ask you to send full card numbers by email and we do not store card details on our Site.
  • Communications: the content of messages, emails and chats you send us.

b) Information collected automatically

When you visit the Site, we and our service providers may automatically collect your IP address, browser type and version, device and operating system, approximate location (country/city), referring and exit pages, pages viewed, links clicked, time spent on pages, and date and time of visit. We collect this through server logs, cookies and similar technologies.

c) Information from others

If someone else (for example a colleague, agency, or reseller) places an order or submits a quote request on your behalf, we receive your details from them. That person confirms they have the right to share them with us.

d) Sensitive information

We do not intentionally collect sensitive personal information (such as health, biometric, political or religious data). Please do not include it in messages or artwork.

How We Use Your Information

  • To respond to inquiries, prepare quotes and send digital proofs and pre-production samples.
  • To create, manufacture, package and ship your custom products, and to provide tracking numbers.
  • To process payments, issue invoices and keep accounting records.
  • To provide customer support, handle quality issues, remakes and refunds.
  • To store your design files so that reorders are quick (see Section 8).
  • To send order-related and inquiry-related emails, such as quotes, proofs, invoices and shipping updates. We do not currently send marketing newsletters; if we start, we will ask for your consent first.
  • To operate, secure and improve the Site, understand how it is used, and prevent fraud and abuse.
  • To comply with legal, tax, customs and export obligations and to protect our legal rights.

Legal Bases (EEA, UK and Similar Regions)

If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or a region with similar laws, we process personal data under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the UK GDPR where they apply. We rely on: (a) contract, to prepare quotes and fulfil orders you request; (b) legitimate interests, such as running and securing the Site, improving our services, fraud prevention and responding to business inquiries; (c) legal obligation, such as tax and accounting rules; and (d) consent, for non-essential cookies (which you can manage through our cookie banner). You may withdraw consent at any time.

How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information for money. We share it only as needed with:

  • Our production network: our factories and subcontractors involved in making and finishing your order, who receive the artwork, specifications and delivery details needed for that purpose.
  • Shipping carriers and customs brokers such as FedEx و UPS, who need your name, address and phone number to deliver.
  • Payment providers and banks, such as باي بال, to receive and confirm your payment.
  • Website, hosting, email and analytics providers that help us run the Site and communicate with you. For example, Google Analytics.
  • Advertising and social media platforms that provide the advertising pixels described in Section 6, which receive limited browsing and event data from the Site.
  • Professional advisers, insurers and auditors, where reasonably necessary.
  • Authorities and legal parties, when required by law or to protect our rights, property or safety.
  • Business transfers: a buyer or successor if we merge or sell part of our business, subject to this Policy.

Our service providers may use your information only to provide services to us and must protect it. Third-party sites have their own privacy policies, which apply to your use of them.

Cookies, Analytics and Advertising Choices

Cookies are small text files placed on your device. We use them to keep the Site working, remember your preferences and understand traffic. When you first visit, our cookie banner lets you accept, reject or customize non-essential cookies, and you can change your choice at any time through the cookie settings on the Site. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings; some Site features may not work properly if you do. General information about cookies is available at allaboutcookies.org.

Analytics. We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the Site. You can learn how Google uses data in Google’s Privacy Policy and opt out with the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

Advertising pixels. With your consent where required, we use advertising pixels and similar tags from Google Ads to measure how our ads perform and to show relevant ads to people who have visited the Site (“remarketing”). These tags may collect your IP address, device and browser information, pages viewed and actions taken (such as submitting a quote request), and share them with the advertising platform. Those platforms act under their own privacy policies. You can decline these cookies through our cookie banner or change your choice at any time in the cookie settings, and you can opt out through the Network Advertising Initiative, the Digital Advertising Alliance, the European Interactive Digital Advertising Alliance (Europe), or your ad settings on each platform.

We do not alter our practices in response to “Do Not Track” browser signals.

Payments

Payments are processed by PayPal or by your bank; we do not receive or store your full card number or online banking credentials. Please use only the payment details shown on our official invoices, and contact us if you receive payment instructions that look suspicious.

Design Files, Molds and Reorders

Custom production creates design files and metal molds. We keep your approved design files and molds for up to three (3) years after your last order so you can reorder quickly. After this period we may delete or destroy them unless you ask us to keep them longer. You may ask us to delete your design files sooner, and we will do so unless we need to keep them for a legal reason or an open order.

We treat customer artwork as confidential, and we will not use it to make products for others or show it publicly (for example in our portfolio) without your permission.

How Long We Keep Information

  • Quote and contact inquiries: up to 24 months after our last contact.
  • Order, invoice and payment records: as required by tax, accounting and customs laws (typically 7 years).
  • Design files and molds: up to 3 years after your last order (Section 8).
  • Log and analytics data: up to 14 months.

When information is no longer needed, we delete or anonymize it.

Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical measures to protect personal information, including encrypted (HTTPS) connections, access limits for staff and production partners, and the use of trusted payment providers. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. If a data breach affects you, we will notify you and the relevant authorities where the law requires.

International Transfers

We serve customers worldwide. Our team and production facilities are located in China and Bangladesh, and our service providers may be located in these countries, the United States and elsewhere. Your information may therefore be transferred to and processed in countries whose data protection laws differ from those in your country. Where required, for example for transfers from the EEA or UK, we use appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses or the UK International Data Transfer Agreement/Addendum.

Your Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to: know what personal information we hold about you and get a copy; correct inaccurate information; delete your information; restrict or object to certain processing; receive your data in a portable format; withdraw consent; and opt out of marketing emails.

California residents (CCPA/CPRA): you may request to know, delete or correct your personal information. We do not sell personal information for money. However, our use of advertising pixels (Section 6) may be considered “sharing” for cross-context behavioral advertising under California law. You may opt out at any time through the cookie settings on our Site or by emailing us. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights. See the California Attorney General’s privacy page for more on your rights.

EEA/UK residents: you have the rights described in the GDPR and UK GDPR. You may complain to your local supervisory authority, for example through the European Data Protection Board’s member list or, in the UK, the Information Commissioner’s Office.

Australia, Canada and others: you may also complain to your national privacy regulator, such as the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner or the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.

To exercise a right, email ceo@chinauniquepin.com with the subject “Privacy Request.” We may need to verify your identity, and we will respond within the time required by applicable law (generally within 30–45 days). An authorized agent may submit a request on your behalf with your written permission. We encourage you to contact us first so we can try to resolve your concern.

Emails

We use your email address to reply to inquiries and to send messages about your quote, proof, order and shipment. We do not currently send marketing newsletters. If we introduce them in the future, we will ask for your consent, include an unsubscribe link in every message, and update this Policy.

Children’s Privacy

Our Site and services are intended for businesses and adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. For information about children’s online privacy in the U.S., see the FTC’s COPPA guidance. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.

Third-Party Links

The Site may link to other websites, social media and carrier tracking pages that we do not control. We are not responsible for their content or privacy practices, so please review their policies.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a new “Last updated” date. If changes are material, we will provide additional notice where required. Continued use of the Site after an update means you accept the revised Policy.
